Dwarves,Aule, and Other Vala

Did Dwarves ONLY follow Aule or COULD other Vala be followed my them.

You mean, did they only follow Aulë and no other Vala? Well, I believe they would have followed others if they had been instructed, but they would always have a deep sense of loyalty etc to their creator.

Was it ever specifically said whether or not in Dwarven mythology they even recognized any other great beings besides Aule? So far as I can remember, they never came into contact specifically with another Vala, except for maybe Yavanna or possibly even Orome. But that is just guesswork on my part.
