What Does Gandalf Think About The Hobbit?

Ian McKellen Talks Gandalf & The Hobbit

The Hobbit miniseries? Sounds like it could possibly work.

I think it would be great! McKellen is right; there are so many different sences to act out that if you did a television show you could spend more time on each seperet scene.

I think that it would work very well.

Hobbit is a much more linear tale than Tolkiens other works, perfectly suitable to an extended TV series IMO

Hmmm...
I think this could either be really good or really bad.

Ooo, all the dwarves...it'll just be one big dwarf-joke.

Seriously, I think it could be interesting. Just as long as that pitfall as avoided, it has potential to say the least.

i think it's a great idea, though perhaps PJ is not the best director for it. The Hobbit is very far from what we have seen in the movies so far.

Yeah, good point...imagine the Hobbit seeming like the LotR movies!

I think PJ could do a good job. He did great with the Shire and party scene. As long as he didn't turn it into an ominous story.

I would watch it no matter what, but I hope that PJ has nothing to do with it after the way he screwed up Return of the King . Peace.

What do you mean the way he screwed up RotK? That movie hasn't come out yet...

I think the Hobbit miniseries would end up overly humourus and vile.

I expect he refers to the whole Scouring of the Shire business. A terrible tragedy.
