has to be star wars ummmmmm because it has yoda and lightsabers and it seems to move quicker if that makes any sense, TTT dragged on a bit (the book not the film) compared to TESB and lightsabers do i need to say more?

Star Wars (original - Episodes IV - VI) movies over LotR movies. LotR books over both. Star Wars Episodes I and II at the bottom.

I don't think you can compare the two. I think I'm coming to like them equally. Though I have been a Star Wars fan for many more years than I've been a LOTR fan. BUT, I prefer the original trilogy. The prequels are.....

(I am really enjoying the New Jedi Order.) I've only just discovered LOTR about a year and a half ago.

well...as i have never seen any of the star wars (i thought they were boring and i couldnt follow them) i would definitely say Lord of the Rings, its a masterpiece, and i dont star wars can even compare to Lord of the Rings
