I was 1st amazed that Anarion fought against Sauron for 5 years before the Elendil and Gil-galad came.

I was also amazed that even after the great plague that Minas Ithil held off the Nazgul for 2 years before falling.

Those numenorians were tough. They were willing to fight the valar-Sauron's just a lightweight.

the numenorens always seem to be clouded in mystery!
Im not so sure they could have held off sauron for long they must have had some special weapon against him or some flawless tactic after all sauron wasa maia second in command from the great melkor!!
