Rhyme Composition Thread

I thought it migth be a good thing for us Mooters to help each other compose rhymes for Christmas presents.

Here's a rhyme for a leatherbound mini-calender which I'm gonna give to my niece.

To keep your life tidy and neat,
which is not mean feat.

Note in this whom you are going meet,
and those who you sometimes treat.

I thought writing rhymes to go with Christmas presents was a Swedish tradition only.

GW, how come you write a Christmas rhyme to your niece in English?

I went ahead and moved this to the writer's workshop.

That's a really cool idea--we never do that kind of thing here in Texas . Maybe it's because the rednecks can't do rhymes.

Well, she's Australian (along with her brothers and my bro-in-law) and I want to make it easy for her even though she is able to understand Swedish.

Rhymes to go with presents. Sounds like a nice idea, with somewhat a... Hobbit-ish feel to it. We do'nt have that tradition either in Belgium (at least to my knowledge), although I do believe they do it in some places in the Netherlands on Sint-Niklaas (6th of December).
