a cloaked figure rides into Rivendell on a horse the color of steel. The figure is heavily armed and looks weary. The figure dismounts and hands the reins to an elf who had emerged from the stables.

Elf Wizard? I don't see how you can be both... Shape shifting. I'm not trying to be an @$$, just saying your character doesn't sound like anything LoTR related really.
