Whats the Point?

I was Just wondering what the point of living is? It doesn't matter cuz your just going to die anyway, so why live? If life sux and is so unfiar then why continue living it. you religious folk have it lucky, you always know that god will be mad if you die b4 he wants you too and you'll go down to big red. Well, I don't believe in god or any of that, and I have tried but i can't really put my heart into truely thinking that that is true. I'm so unhappy so why should I live? There really isn't a point. Life is meaningless.

The point of life? That's an easy one

Either tommorrow, next week or next year..........something will happen to change your life (might be good, might be bad.......but It'll certainly be different )

As for the afterlife, that's your choice.......athiests want there being to end when they die...........religious folks don't

well theres going to be at least a few good things in life, would you really want to miss out on them? some times even helping another person will make your day, hey look at it this way the only other option is nothing at all so id say go with life, and as coney said tomorrow may change everything. or not

What is the purpose of life?

From a non-theological standpoint: To live. To exist, and attempt to make the best of what we have, and to attempt to help others to do the same.

A lot of times it feels like there is no purpose to live. But you have to also think of the many good times. If you didn't have the bad times - it would be impossible to appreciate the good times.

Have you sat down with anyone and talked to them? If you are suicidal you should talk to someone - and not someone who will just say "well just get over it".

My personal belief is that there the majority of time, the best that can be said for life is mundane. Often, it is not fun, and often depressing, and often downright rotten. However, there are also times in life that where we are greatly enriched, parts which are great (in the loftier sense of the word), and marvelous, and wonderful. In the History of Long Sorrow, the Moments of Joy, Bliss, Contentment, and Fulfillment outweigh with their magnitude the Long Sorrow, and that my friend is worth living for.

well excuse me
Life's a game, so lets play it (happy gollum? )

But yes it's true. You are in total control of your own life, emotions, decisions, etc. Live your life to the fullest (I feel like I'm quoting something) experince things, achieve your goals, learn, grow, have fun. Life won't be interesting and, as you say, have a point unless you make it interesting. So start playing

Just always remember life is a limitless quest. Not a race to the finish.

Or as Lazarus Long says "Give the future enough thought to be ready for it -- but don't worry about it. Live each day as if you were to die next sunrise. Then face each sunrise as a fresh creation and live for it, joyously. And never think of the past. No regrets, ever."

What's the point of life? As I see it, everyone decides the point in his/her own life. Find yourself a nice, good point for your life and enjoy living.
Life's a precious gift with a meaning that you choose on your own. It's not something you throw away and say "there's no point..."

The purpose of life is that there is no one single purpose.

Think about it. The alarm clock has one job to do, one purpose. Wake up the human.

The human's purpose is to get ready for work.
Or is it to...drive to work...
...work at their job
...make money
...bring home the paycheck for their family
...become tired and go to sleep

Take everything that a human does, slam it together and boil it down to it's core:

Survival, and trying to be happy while doing it.

============

Or you can take this other little tidbit. I like this one better:

Life is a journey, enjoy the road.
Life is a journey to happiness,
But in the end...
Happiness was not the destination,
It was the road there

Well that and he lived to be 2,300+ years old. He is Heinlien's Methuselah equivilant. And probably has some of the greatest quotes ever made by one character of fiction.
