I think we need to rethink the rules and posting policies of this board that really do not differ from other MBs. The biggest rules are: No flaming, no spaming, no off topic posting. I don't see any of those things in this thread. A young man has posted a somewhat personal problem hoping for in his own words, "sympathy". I agree that this is not the place for that. Tesseract12. This is a general message board. That means we discuss topics that are of comman interest or matters that effect all of us, such as the war in Afghanistan, or religious debates. A comman ground. Tesseract may not have understood, but there have been no violation of the rules that I can see. Posters should not ask for threads to be closed just because a few are annoyed by the topic. If that were to happen then the MB would soon be out of business. If we are not interested in the topic, then don't subscribe to it. If we subscribe to it, then we follow the rules.
